In 2010 we were ready to burst.  Filled with a burning desire to right the many wrongs at Leeds United, and to speak with other like-minded fans on the topic. After a solid weekend of brainstorming and binge drinking – that spark of an idea took form in cyberspace with the website rightinthegarykellys.com

The site’s been on a bit of a ride over those five years. From humble beginnings, there are over 15,000 social media followers. The site is visited over 2 million times each year. There’s an App for the iPhone and Android, there are podcasts.. and it hasn’t stopped there.

We’re featuring in the official Leeds United match day programme ‘for three seaons on the trot and we’ve met up with club legends, Michael Bridges, Dom Matteo, Richard Naylor, Ross McCormack, Andy Hughes, Lewis Cook, Ross McCormack and many more and also not forgetting our podcast series.

Who are the guerrilla force of lethally skilled writers who create the delta force of writing you see on the web each day? – Read on…Die Hard Leeds Supporters one and all.

Why I write about LUFC? For the love of the club. It’s never a dull day covering the fortunes of Leeds United as I’ve found out since creating RITGK in 2010. This season ive begun writing in ‘We Are Leeds’ matchday programme which has giving me an excellent platform to showcase the site.

Why I write about LUFC? I didn’t choose where I was born, but to be quite frank I have to be happy with it being Leeds. Firstly because it meant I had no other choice than to support the greatest football team in the world – Leeds United, but secondly as someone who enjoys writing Leeds United provides an endless supply of drama like no other football club. The moment things seem to go quiet – boom. And of course occasionally we have a decent team, surely overdue now?

Why I write about LUFC? I started out at RITGK just contributing the odd article; next thing I know I’m down at Thorp Arch, meeting players, interviewing past fans favourites along with editing and presenting our Podcast. All in hope of being in amongst it when LUFC finally make it back to the top flight!

Why I write about LUFC? I am currently studying Sports Journalism and want to work towards being a sports writing. There’s no better way of gaining the experience than getting to write about your own club and one day I would even like to cover Leeds on a daily basis. Having held a Leeds season ticket for over 10 years, I have often found myself wanting to express my opinions and I am thankful I can now do this for RIGTK.

Why I write about LUFC? Always left with things to express about Leeds, even after a 330 mile round trip! Sometimes writes from disabled perspective too.

Why I write about LUFC? I hope to one day become a sports journalist and what better way to gain experience by writing about my main passion in life on a great LUFC website!
