When the club confirmed to us they had lined up an interview with the clubs latest ‘wonderkid’, we couldn’t wait to get our heads down and put some questions together. We’ve had the privilege of interviewing some of Leeds United’s greats over the years but few had excited us more than sitting down with Lewis Cook.
When we arrived at Thorp Arch the first person we crossed paths with was the coolest individual to ever pull on the Leeds United shirt. A beaming Adryan welcomed us with an ‘alrite lads.’ Clearly taking to Yorkshire life! We were brought into the one of many classrooms at the training ground and Lewis was waiting for us. After the introductions, Lewis gave us a brief about how important the classrooms have a huge role in his football education, something that is often a forgotten part of the game.
We got comfortable and began talking about his rise to the first team, comparisons to the great David Batty and then talk of his summer success with the England U17s squad in the summer. Not every day you speak to an English footballer who has won silverware and a penalty shoutout with his a national team. Anyway, that’s enough from us we’ll stop giving the interview away and let you hear it for yourselves on the link below.
